On Thursday 23rd February, old-school networking was at the centre at an evening of business and pleasure hosted by the Hedge Funds Club. Plenty of quality people came face-to-face, made eye contact, smiled, shook hands and exchanged both business cards and war stories. Tokyo Hedge Funds Club’s year-end reception shook Roppongi

On Wednesday 14th September, a packed Swedish Embassy in Tokyo saw HFC boss Stefan Nilsson host a special SNS Tokyo knowledge and networking evening. The event featured a panel discussion with AP2 (the Second Swedish National Pension Fund) and Japan Post Bank. A great discussion on pension fund management, investments in a zero interest rate environment and the role of corporate governance was followed by a networking session.

On Thursday 16th June, HFC boss Stefan Nilsson and HFC board member HSH Prince Andreas von Liechtenstein hosted a large group of hedge funds and investors at a special Tokyo Hedge Funds Club summer reception at the Swedish Embassy in Tokyo. At a relaxed evening in the embassy garden, HFC’s distinguished guests enjoyed Swedish food and the best networking this side of Mt. Fuji.
